Miscellaneous

I received a letter with instructions to Western Union $2,175.00 to Calvin Nana in NY. And I was suppose to be a Secret Shopper. They sent me a check for $3,375.00. I was to deposit the check drawn from a Citi Bank into my bank account, with drawl the $2,175.00 plus 195.00 transfer fees and wire the money to NY and evaluate the customer service of western Union. Enclosed in the same envelope and the check was another sheet that I was to fax to a NY fax machine after I completed the transaction. I knew this was a scam and was not dumb enough to fall for it. The letter also said I could keep $300.00 for my first weeks pay. And another $100.00 to do my 2nd assignment which was shopping at a store that they had listed in the letter buy $100.00 in merchandise and they misspelled that word in the letter and I was to evaluate the customer service. The letter also stated to NOT take the letter that they sent me with me to do my assignments. This was clearly a RED FLAG for me and I contacted my local police department and they instructed me to NOT cash it and to shred it. Which I have done so.
