Miscellaneous

One evening a while back I was searching online for a movie to watch. I stumbled across this supposedly free movie website. Membership to the site was free, so I thought, hey, this would be great if I wanted to watch a movie now and then. So I started signing up.

In order to verify this, the website asked for my credit card number. I thought it sounded a lot like iTunes, which never charges me unless I buy something.

I didn’t go back to that site again after that, and then, a week later, I get my credit card statement and there is a charge on there for $49.95 from megaflix.net! It was 14/12. So I tried calling the number listed for the business on the credit card statement, but guess what? Their phone number isn’t even a real working number! It is a fake! So basically, there is no way to get a hold of this company.

Then, I decided to go to the website to cancel my membership, which I thought I had signed up for, but when I clicked on “cancel membership”, there wasn’t even a record of me ever having an account on the website!

I checked my credit card again today and I found that they charged again $49.95 already in 20/12!
Please tell me how can I fix this.
