I ordered Home Connect to replace my land line. The service started on 10/17. On 10/31 when I returned to the store at 4154 McKinley Pkwy, Hamburg, NY 14075 to terminate the service. I was told that it would cost me an additional $35 to return the Home connect device that I paid $30 for. I was told that since I terminated the service within the 14 day period that I would not be charged the early termination fee. I was NOT told that I would be if I did not pay the $35 to return the device that I would be charged the early termination fee. I contacted Verizon wireless and they informed me that since I did not return the home connect device within 14 days that I would be charged they fee. I was NEVER told that the return of the device that I paid $30 for was part of the termination process and that I would have to pay an additional $35 to complete the termination. At the time it made no sense to me that I had to pay $35 to return a device that I paid $30 for so I declined to return it. I was not told that is would be part of the termination when I purchased it either.
