I received a call on my cell phone from 318 433 3442. It was very noisy in the back ground and the man told me I had been selected for a $7000 government grant. I took down the information and called the number 202 609 7027. The first two times I called it went to a voice mail like on a cell phone. After the second time the number called me back. I googled the phone number and found notes about a scam. As soon as the man told me it would cost $100 to get the money I immeditately told me I wouldn't pay anything and asked him to take me off his list. It was then I realized that he had hung up on me. I find it scary that they had all of my personal information and all I had to do was confirm it. I was lucky that I had looked up the number and not paid out any money.
