In April, we contracted with Timeshare Solutions to sell 2 timeshare weeks. The contract costed $1,400.00. On November 21, we received a message from Stephanie of TES (Title & Equity Services) that they represented a buyer of one of our weeks. When I called back, I was forwarded to the Senior Consultant Taylor O'Neil. She told me that the buyers were interested in both our weeks, not 1. However, the buyers wanted to negotiate the closing costs - would we pay 1/2 and then recover those costs at closing because they had put all their cash in as the down payment. They were already approved for the total cost of the weeks by RBC Bank. The "catch" was that we had to do this deal by Wednesday, 11/23. I told them I wanted a letter of intent. They did forward that to me. I made arrangements to wire the $3,500.00 to them on 11/23 and once that was confirmed by Anne Hamel (secretary for TES) that the transfer was in the RBC bank, they would mail me the paperwork. According to Anne Hamel, she was going to be in the office the day after Thanksgiving (11/25); she was going to confirm the transfer and mail out the package. This never happened. I called her the Monday after; she said she had sent it. To give it a week; the paperwork was never received.
I started calling their office every week; she stopped answering my calls. It always went to voice mail. I called every week for approx. 6 months. The address that TES was "working" from is in Pennsylvania; I have found out it is a private residence. I was able to find out that the RBC branch that the transfer went to is located in Florida. This is the account that TES gave me (with their company name on it) to wire the $3,500 to. To date, I have not received anything from them and they have not contacted me. Our contract with Timeshare Solutions has since run out. I am in the process of filing fraud charges with our local authorities to see if we could get some kind of restitution. We believe that Timeshare Solutions and TES are working together on these kinds of frauds.
