Vehicle Damages Due to City Pot Hole

On October 17, I, Ali Liceaga was driving North bound on 11th and Biscayne and hit two deep pot holes which were not visible from distant, they were at light. My vehicle was damaged where roadside service had to be called and my car had to be taken in; The rim, tire and alignment was damaged. I was forced to leave my car and drive a rental until damages are repaired. Till today the damages I have incurred are for approx over $2,000.00 dollars. Not including the inconvenience I'm dealing with.

I returned to site on Oct 18 where my Mercedes was damaged and I took several pictures and also noticed how cars are forced to go through potholes as the pot holes are on lane. I believe it's the cities responsibility, (public works) to have the deep street holes repair, as they are located in a major street and a tourist area. I was leaving from touring a family member at Bayside. Why I'm I responsible for the damages incurred by the city? I recently bought the car a month ago. I would like to file and official complaint.
