Agency Put Wrong VIN on Policy

I have been paying for car insurance for over four months now. My son had an accident in the car, on the 8 Oct. I went to the pound to get the car out; the police let me know that the insurance agent put the wrong vin number on the policy. I took the car in to the insurance agent to put full coverage on my car, back in June. The Agent went outside to get the vin number and took some pictures or the car. Now the insurance agent is telling me that I have no insurance on my car, from a mistake he made. I have a witness, who was there with me at that time. And I just found out that he made two mistakes.
