Move builders was "hired" to relocate our family from Massachusetts to Iowa. During the initial calls, all of the details were hashed out, or so we thought. They promised that our valuable and very hard to replace antique furniture was going to be properly packed, loaded, secured and transported. They repeatedly told us that the delicate items would not have a problem. They also told us that as they did not have an agent where we were going, they would hire one out for us. Little did we know that by doing this they limited their "exposure" to us. All throughout the transaction, they were thinking about how to limit their liability for this move, not on how to provide it. Typical Bait and switch.
When the movers finally arrived, they were either stoned or drunk. They had problems even walking. They failed to properly protect our furniture, and they did not even secure it to the truck. To make a long story short I paid over 2000 for 3 drunks for 8 hours. I could have done better with rooming house denizens...
This company is a Scam. Stay away from them. It is better to pick up 3 hobos on the side of the road, and pay them by the hour, than to contract out with them. They WILL use any means to deny or limit their liability. I am hiring an attorney right now to go after them for the poor work that they performed, but dealing with them has been nothing short of a nightmare.
