After a 1 hour 15 minute phone call saying my computer has many virus and will crash, they said they would sort it out asking me to help them with accessing into the main setup menus, to tell them how many red signs and yellow warning signs come up, they said the more there are the more trouble the the computer is in, but not to worry as it can all be sorted out if I give them an hour to do so, just leave the computer alone. The mouse was all over the place with files coming and going on the screen, they could even see me typing when they asked me to put in different password. Not my pass words. They asked me for £80 for the year or £200 for 3 years cover. Each month I would get a phone call for them to see if all is ok. I am usually very careful about signing up to deals from a phone call, in fact I have never done it before now. After a long chat with him and me asking if it was a con and I was not sure, he kept reassuring me they were not scamming me. I even had a call the following day asking if all was fine. I had lost the internet connection I told him, he said to call my provider who could not help.
On speaking to a friend 2 days later about the whole thing, he informed me I had been scammed.
I phoned the bank to stop the payment. It had not gone out, but they would not stop it saying I had agreed to pay the money. I told them the whole thing but they still would do nothing.
