Miscellaneous

The first time I got a call was in julythe guy said he was from microsoft and had a report that my computer had some problems, I allowed them to do a remote reading of my computer and he said it had alot of viruses and hacking etc. After a long time of talking and showing me files on my computer he said they could fix it for 180.99 and it would be good for 2 years, so I think I paid them through paypal. Then in Oct. They called and by then I had a new laptop and they did the same scam again, not being too techy I didn't suspect anything. Last week he called me and said the same thing, Ilet them do the same thing and since it was a Sat. Night he said that a person from "theecheck" would call and I was to give them a "clear yes so they could approve the check (they have my routing no. And my acct. No.) that made me a bit suspicious but they called me and after the woman asked me about the check and I said yes, she said "are you satisfied with what they did to my computer and if I wasn't I could get refund"I told her yes. That started bothering me and the next day 3/8 I started looking on the internet and found alot of things about people being scammed by globalpcsolutions. I immediately called my bank and put a stop payment on the check for 181.00. Now that I have been looking back on my files, I remembered there was a copy of my husbands credit report, and it has his ssn on it, now I am afraid of "identity theft". I feel relly stupid he seemed so "nice!!!
