My grandfather purchased a 2004 Chevy Silverado 4x4. A CD got stuck in the player and wouldn't come out. We finally got it out but now one won't go in. However, after reading the book it states you have to have a code to reset it if you ever have to replace the battery or the radio no longer works. I called and they want almost $50.00 to tell me a 4 digit code? Online if I used a credit card they could give it to me in 10 mins but I refuse to purchase anything via credit card online.

This is unreal. First Chevy I have owned and after this it will be the last unless you can find someone to give me the code with out sucking 50 or more out of me. I have been laid off since Feb and my husband has not found a job in 4 years. So 50 is a lot of money for us. Just for a 43 diget code. It's a Delco radio with a cd player and cassette player. I can give you the vin or if you can tell me what to do to get the code other than having to pay that amount I would appreciate it. Out come depends on if I ever decide to own another chevy. Thank you.
