I recieved a letter stating that I was selected as a customer service evaluator on probationary training. I had to call the phone number provided (5145607894) to activate the check. Once I called Susan Thompson got my call and adviced me to deposit the check for 3,997.79 into my checking account and after it cleared I had to call her back so she could give me the instructions as to what my assignmen would be. Once I called her she told me to make two money order transactions totaling 3,447.79 that were to be sent to atlanta, ga. The second assignment was to get 100.00 and make a purchase at wal-mart. Once I finished with the assignments I was to call her back and let her know that I was done with the job. She asked me to fax over the information from the moneygram transactions. I was to wait for the next assignments for the coming week. I was supposed to keep 450.00 as my pay. I had left some money in my acct. On thursday I called my bank to check on my balance and I was already overdrafed because the check did not cleared. I called Susan and she said that she would call the head office and let them know what was happening this was in the morning. I called her in the afternoon to see what was going on and she stated that her supervisor was talking to their bank and that he would call me as soon as he had fixed the problem. No one called. I called her on saturday and she stated that her supervisor had not been able to reach the bank on time and that he would do so on Monday. I called her on Monday afternoon to see what was going on she stated that the office would call as soon as the had fixed the problem with the bank. No call came. I called Susan on Tuesday and she said that she would have some one call me at that moment. No call. I called her on Wednesday and she said she would take care of the problem herself, this was at around 9:19 am. Its already 11:07 and no call. I decided to go to the Itron home page website where I found a phone # for them I verified with Linda who stated that the letter was fraudulent and that she had other called of this same nature. All the help I can get to get my money back would be of great help. If I dont pay my utilities on time I will not have any electricity, water, phone, or home.
