Miscellaneous

I received an email telling that an error was made by a hotel and that they owed me $1179.00. They said I had to fill in an attached form. When I opened I got notice that my computer was infected and then Win7 popped up and offered to remove it. The price was $59.95. I suspected there was an error but they had captured my computer and I couldn't get rid of their info. Finally I agreed to by their software though I was very suspicious. They removed the damages and then I got my computer out of their captivity and googled Win7 which they reported was a very poor anti-spyware program. I contacted my credit card company and asked them to be on the lookout for the $59.95 charge as it was fraudelent. They (Citibank) caught the charge the next day and denied payment per my request. I had to cancel the card so it wouldn't be used again and will get a new Citi credit card. Citi told me the charge came from Russia.
