Five years ago Mr. Allsbrook and I were co-workers. We did not work directly together and although we were cordial at work we did not have a personal friendship. One day Mr. Allsbrook approached me for a significant personal loan due to tragic family circumstances. His story was very compelling and I agreed to loan him money. At the time we had been employed together for three years and I felt that he would be able to repay me. He signed a written agreement to repay the loan and I felt that I would have legal recourse if he did not pay back the money. One year went by and I asked Mr. Allsbrook to start making payments at whatever level he could afford. Each time I asked him to start making payments he had another sad convincing story to tell. He finally stopped coming to work citing issues with his health and lost his job. Two years after loaning him money I went to court and obtained a judgement against him. Four years after loaning him money and receiving no repayment I filed a garnishment against him. He lost his job before I was able to collect any money. Over the past years of legally trying to obtain repayment and keep track of Mr Allsbrook I have spoken to numerous people who have given him money to "pay for medication" or to help him with other essential expenses. I have also spoken to people that he collected fees from promising them work as umpires for little league games. I have become aware of other fraudulent activity by Mr Allsbrook but I am a third party to the information so I will not repeat it as true. I encountered many obstacles in trying to obtain my judgement in court against Mr Allsbrook. I am convinced that he deliberately hides his personal information. On one occasion I attempted to locate Mr Allsbrook by going to the police station and providing an officer with the letters on his license plate so that I could obtain an address for him to file court documents. The address came back as a UPS store where he probably gets his mail. I completely believe that Mr Allsbrook borrowed money from me as a form of legal "stealing" I doubt that his sad stories have any real basis in truth. I believe that he asked me for money because he became aware of my husband's income and knew that I would be willing to help out someone in dire need. I still work for the same employer and live at the same address I did five years ago. Mr. Allsbrook has never attempted to contact me or repay me. If you search the Va court systems you will realize that Carl Michael Allsbrook AKA Mike Allsbrook is a con man.
