Overnite stay at local motel, Phoned back home using bell-alliant calling card, north american rate of $0.25/minute. 2 calls went through with no notice of special fees or anything. Received bell-aliant bill next month to find 1st. Call-2 min. $14.49 and 2nd. Call 5 min. $20.79 listed under long distance provided by other companies = total 7 mins. $35.19
Bell-aliant advised some areas sell their long distance rights to private providers. Also no way to block their card calls from falling into these kinds of scheems.
