Just Horrible

I ordered a bedding set for my daughter. They immediately took the $179.99 charge on my VISA on 3/4 but said the item was due to ship the week of 3/21. On 3/25 I called regarding the order and was told it would be another few weeks. I got a feeling that I got scammed so I called Roxy. The representative told me that the item was discontinued. Since I felt I was scammed, I called to cancel my order. I called at 12:13 PDT and hung up at 2:00 PDT. I was in the queue for customer service but NOONE picked up. I did this purposely so I could have that huge time period on my cell phone bill. Merchants agree with VISA that they will NOT charge their customers until the item SHIPS. When I finally was able to cancel the order, I was told that it would take 16 DAYS to process. Given the timeframe, it would have pushed me over the 30 day limit to file a dispute with VISA. Once that happens, they would have been able to keep the $179.99. They processed my refund promptly when I told them I would turn them into VISA. I wish I hadn't done that since I filed the dispute paperwork and they could have been in trouble with VISA, possibly getting their VISA merchant account revoked. Alas, I will still file all of documentation with the Attorney General of the State of Connecticut. Something is rotten with this company.
