Wanted 30yr. Mtg. At lower rate, they said yes they could, for 3.6% i requested 30 yr. Fixed. They said yes it is... So i signed on line their papers for an application, and papers they said they needed me to fax back, so i did all they told me to do. After reading all the papers, i discovered loan not for 30yr fixed, only first 7 yrs. Then rates go up 2.5% every year, fees approx $4,000 to be added to present loan balance. They said they needed an appraisel to go forward, i canncelled 6-8... Mr gallo accepted the cancellation, and told me he would cancel application papers immediately and refund my up front fee deposit of $500.00.. Then 6-08, another officer called me to verify the cancellation, and why, i told him the above... He was anry and hung up... I have e-mailed Mr. Gallo several times, and called with no response about the deposit... Finally, 6-16recvd. E-mail stating they could not find a program for my needs, and read the deposit policy... Nothing said about not returning my $500.00 during the online page after page etc... Found out by calling their deposit line... I was then told, no refund, read the papers, i knew nothing about their not refunding me... Mr. Gallo, knew ahead of time that i cannot afford to lose any money. That i am a 75yr. Old widow living on only $1636 from s.S... Believe me... HAD I KNOWN their refund policy, i would have NEVER LET THEM CHARGE MY VISA.
