Don't go with verizon fios for your service provider!!! Listen to what happened to me today

Okay, so get this... I call Verizon FIOS tonight to check on when my contract with them ended (just in case I wanted to switch to another service provider in the future) and I was told by the sales rep that my service contract with Verizon actually ended last August. Naturally, he tried to get me to renew with some new services at a new price and I said no! I made it perfectly clear that I didn't want to make any changes in my service etc. A few minutes later, I get an email with a service order number thanking me for ordering new services with Verizon on 3/30. I called them back, explained the situation, they found the sales rep for me and had him speak to me. He verified that I didn't order anything, says he doesn't know how that order got placed but since there is an order number, he can't do anything about it and gives me customer service. After 1/2 hour on phone with customer service no one can explain how this happened and that it did indeed extend me into a new contract now!!! This is bullshit!
