Some young person, impersonating a college student, will show up on your doorstep & give a spiel about trying to earn points in a contest to go to Europe. They try to sell magazine subscriptions & get your cash or a personal check. Don't fall for it. I hunted this punk down who was still canvasing the neighborhood and Took my Check BACK! I told himI knew it was a scam, that I'd contacted the college and verified that his story was a pack of BS. I called the police as well and alerted neighbors. He had a huge stack of receipts & cash. I'm just glad I followed my instincts. Live and Learn.
