Charged membership without permission won't refund it Internet

I found a membership charge on my credit card. I did not authorize it. I don't even know what the company does, where it is or anything else.

I called and was assured it would be refunded. It never was and when I call their number you cannot speak to anyone until you type in your phone number. When I do that I get a message saying my "membership" is cancelled and I am automatically cut of.
