Clicked on ad for gift card cancelled same night still billed for 5 months then only refunded 1 month. Ripoff

I think I selected a pop up about a FREE $25.00 gift card from Lowe"s. Only cost $1.00. I cancelled the same night that I siged up.

They billed my credit card for $1.00 and 4 months at $14.95 before I caught it. Only noticed the Nov. Billing never thought to look back at other bills.

Called to see what it was about and they told me they would cancel membership and credit my account.

Only credited 1 month and will not credit for the other 3 months.

I never got any notice about my membership or a membership number or a notice that they were billing me.

Looked up the add on the internet and it says you get a 1 year subscription to a popular magazine at no additional charge. I never got this or the $25.00 Lowe's Gift Card.

I only noticed the other charges when I got a summary for the years charges on my credit card. Called credit card company and they will only go back 3 months.

Well this is Jan. They (HomeworksPlus) credited for Nov. Bill and I can only dispute Oct. Billing.

What a rip off this company is. Never got one thing from them not a email nor letter in the mail. This could have gone on forever because dumb people like me believe in other people.

I will check my credit card bills form now on to make sure I made the charges not someone else.
