Orbitz does not honor lower hotel price - Hotel Booking

I made a hotel reservation on 5/16 for Savannah, GA (locator CH54EH). I was charged $57.25 for the room. When I showed up at the hotel I was told by the woman at the front desk that Orbitz had not paid them and the credit card was strictly to hold the room and I needed to give her my card. She charged me $43.22 for the same room Orbitz said was $57.25. When I brought this to the woman at the front desk she said I needed to take it up with Orbitz. Call the number and the CSR first told me that the $43.22 was the secret price between Orbitz and the hotel. That is not my issue. The CSR called the hotel to verify. Then she came back and told me that Orbitz would refund me my $57.25 and I would be only charged the $43.22. Then the CSR comes back and tells me that the hotel had already cancelled the transaction and so she could not honor what she had just promised me. I told her that I would go downstairs and give the front desk my credit card for them to run again. At this point I ask for a supervisor. I explain the above story and I told they will refund the $43.22 but I must pay the $57.25 amount. The supervisor also said that the hotel should not have disclosed the secret price they had with Orbitz. First, I have no idea nor do I care what price Orbitz and the hotel agree to. As the consumer I wanted to pay for the lower price. If Orbitz and the hotel made a mistake then as the consumer I should not be the one to pay for the mistake. All I am asking for is that Orbitz refund me the difference between The 57.25 and the $43.22 I was charged.
