Bank of America Home Loan - Mortgage

I tried to get a pre-qualification letter from Bank of America and was transferred 3 times (amidst being on hold 5-10 min with each transfer) just to get to the "correct" person. Once I did I was on the phone with him for an hour and a half giving him my work history, personal info, and ss #. All I needed (and reiterated to him) was a pre-qualification letter as I was already approved for the amount through another firm. He was supposed to be doing a credit check and finding out if my husband and I were qualified. Finally, the agent said that we were almost done, but he had to check on something (I have no idea what and should have asked) and that he would call me back. I NEVER heard back from him. It was extremely frustrating. We had put in an offer on a home and needed this process to go quickly. When I called BoA back they had no idea who I had spoken with an no one seemed to have any record of me using this agency. All they said they could do was assign me a new agent and start the tedious process all over. I was terribly disappointed with the service from BoA and due to this interaction I would never bank with Bank of America, nor would I recommend them to anyone else.
