RE: Lost Mortgage Payment To make long story short, I fell behind on my mortgage with Chase Bank earlier this year. They where going to foreclose on my home. I contacted their attorney in Bellevue WA, and I worked out a payment arrangement. I was told in August to bring a payment of $5000 to the attorney’s office and he would make sure that it was credit to my account, but as of 12-15 Chase still cannot find my payment. I have a copy of my cancelled check and copy of my bank statement proving that I made my payment. Since that time I have made all payments on time, plus extra, to make up for back payments. I have faxed all this information 4 times and still no response. I have called, I do not know how many times to get help, with no success. Nobody can tell me anything, I just keep getting the run around. They have been charging me late fees of $170 a month even though I have not been late on a payment in the last 5 months. I cannot get anyone at Chase to send me monthly statements and nobody can tell why! I do not have the money to hire an attorney and I do not know what to do, so I’m sending this letter to everyone I can think of to try and resolve this problem.
