Back child support ripoff - California charges 10% on unpaid child support and keeps the money for themselves not for the kids

If you owe back child support to California for welfare (like food stamps) your child had received, you have to pay the welfare back. Fine. But, if you can't afford to pay they charge 10% interest on the arrears. There are literally thousands of hard luck people in California that owe about $100,000 in back support. The principal balance was about $20,000 - $30,000 but they pack hundreds of extra dollars on each month so you can NEVER pay it off. If you give them money they apply it only to the INTEREST, NOT the principal so it keeps growing and growing. They interecept taxes for interest, houses for interest, they throw you and your kids in the street over their interest.

We are cashing out our home for 20k of support and 15K in interest to live on the streets. I tried to settle. They would not settle on welfare child support arrears. They are using child support as a CASH COW to save their poor state!!! Do the kids get the money OR at least the interest? HELL NO!!! They put it into their pockets. -Or worse, the fathers spend their lives with this gigantic bag of financial burden they can never overcome. I called a policy maker. Does he care? He said why should I?

We get the judges to do whatever we want because we say it's for the kids and if you complain we'll take your license, your business, your LIFE. Policy analysts (CLASP.org) in Washington D.C. Has warned them. They don't listen. TELL CALIFORNIA TO QUIT RIPPING OFF THE POOR AND THE CHILDREN!!!
