I took a powered speaker that was overheating and shutting down to see if they could repair it. I told Belmont the other worked fine. I had e-mailed the manufacturer for assistance, and they replied in less than 24 hrs. And said they could provide schematic but not parts on this unit. After speaking with Belmont, I forwarded them the e-mail from the tech so they could get assistance.

I waited a week and a half and called for status from Belmont TV and they said they were researching parts.

I waited 2 more weeks and called again and they told they were still waiting for a response from their parts supplier. I asked what was taking so long and they said some parts were burned. I told them I would come pick it up. When I arrived the tech said that he could not determine the value of some components so he could not fix. QUESTION: Why were they ordering parts if they didn't know what to order? Question? Why didn't you look at the schematic from the manufacturer tech I provided. They said he never replied after 3 tries. I went home and e-mailed him and had the schematic in 2 hours. I forwarded it to Belmont to show them.

Originally, when I took the speaker in, I personally spoke with the Belmont TV tech that would be working on it to make sure he thought he could fix it, and told him the other was working fine. QUESTION: Why didn't he call me and ask to see the other one to look at it to determine the correct components.

When I called to speak to the manager, the tech denied having ever met me.

They wasted 3 weeks of time in my production studio, never had the courtesy to keep me informed or just accept the fact that they didn't want to work on it, and then lied about ordering parts and requesting schematics (manufacturer never received request from them).

They still took my $50.00 to do nothing and gave me my speaker back.
