Laminate Floor Installation Spilled Liquid Into My Basement

I recently had Home Depot install a new laminate floor for me. From the day the scheduled measure was taken, I had a feeling things would not go well. In the description of the process, the measurer was supposed to inform me of certain things, and that did not happen. Then working with the installation coordinator was very stressful and unproductive.

During the installation, the installers spilled liquid from the first floor into my basement, covering a wall and the ceiling tiles and spilling onto my carpet. One of the installers did work hard on cleaning the mess they made. However, there is still evidence of the spill. When I asked Home Depot to compensate me and refund some of the installation price, I was bounced from one person to the next before I was finally told all they could do was give me a gift card. Like I would want to shop or work with Home Depot again.

I am appalled at the whole service, and I really regret ever going to them for this installation.
