I lived at the Chardonnay apartments for almost 5 years. At the beginning of my stay, the maintenance and office staff were wonderful. Even a minor maintenance reqeust was completed within 24 hours. Unfortunately, that has changed. I don't know what the circumstances are, if Lincoln Property just doesn't pay their people or put any effort into screening them before they hire them, but the current staff is, quite simply, awful.

My list of complaints runs the gamut from an extremely rude office staff, to packages that mysteriously disappear (hmmmm, UPS shows that as being signed for...) to maintenance workers who don't fix the problems reported (the burners on the stove didn't work-he fixed the toilet—?! —now the toilet runs constantly, but the stove still doesn't work) to my biggest complaint of all: EVERY TIME IT RAINS MY APARTMENT FLOODS. This has happened 5 times in less than a year. To the extent that my furniture has been ruined by water damage, and there is MOLD in the walls. Their solution has always been the same-to call a capet contractor to come out and extract the water, spray a bunch of disgusting chemicals and leave a fan to dry the carpet. I have called the office, I have gone into the office, I have called the Regional Supervisor, I have called and written to the corporate office, and still, no response. Not one person from the maintenance or office staff have been to my apartment to see what is happening.

My lease just ended, and I moved this weekend. (Amazingly easy to move when you don't have any furniture left.) If you have anything you value-furniture, pets, children, don't live at Chardonnay. Your furniture will be ruined and you, your pets and your children will be chronically ill with mysterious respiratory problems and fatigue.
