Ripoff Mold Contaminated apartments evil lying negligent dirtbags

Beware all apartment tenants who live or have ever lived in mission bay apartments. This apartment complex is one of the most poorly and horribly maintained apartment complexes due to many reasons. But the most important and sickening reason is the fact that they haven't cleaned out their air conditioning units in OVER 13 YEARS AND THESE UNITS COULD BE FILLED WITH HEALTH HAZARDOUS MOLD.

I lived in Mission Bay apartments around 2000. When I moved in I began to notice something in the air that just wasn't right. I then checked the air conditioning unit and noticed that there were nasty horrible globs of mold in there. I didn't know what to do so I went to the main office to ask anyone if they could clean it out. The people are the main office ignored my requests and told me to just put a filter in there.

Because the mold effected me in such drastic ways, and even killed a pet I had, I didn't know what to do because I felt helpless regarding the situation. I tried calling the health department several times and finally a woman came to my apartment to check it out, but she didn't even check the air conditioning unit (I can't remember why). She did an extremely poor job of dealing with the situation and it continued to be left in the same way.

It seems easy for me now to think of finding a solution but during that time then I was young and didn't know how to handle it. I ended up living in that horrible moldy air for almost a year before my mother finally convinced and fought with those people to clean the unit out. But the maintenance wasn't going to give in that easily. They took a very long time and finally called burdines in to check the place out. The burdines man told me that the mold was serious and needed to be cleaned out, but the maintenance people at mission bay didn't want him to do it. They claimed he would over charge them and they said they would do it themselves.

They took an incredibly long time to finally clean it out, and when they did, the machine they used actually dispersed the mold back into my living place and it made the situation even worse for a week. Finally after the week my apartment was contaminant free but it was too late because the damage had already been done. I can't get into the details of how it affected me and probably affected many other people before me.

I have heard of several other people who lived in that place who complained about the horrible poor maintenance. I'm writing this to warn residents of the horrenous nature of this apartment complex and the negligent office people and poor maintenance. If you have ever lived in this apartment complex you may possibly have been exposed to this mold and it might have affected you and your health in drastic ways without you knowing the reason.

When the maintenance people were cleaning it out they told me "yeah we plan to start cleaning the units of the apartment complex out soon, " but I know that was a lie because they were some of the laziest most careless maintenance people in the business. Regardless residents need to be aware of the contamination in the apartments and negligence of the office people/landlords, and the maintenance that works there.
