Impact Direct Scams all their techs and independent contractors

Working as an independent contractor in ALL states have laws that protect them from the companies that contract work for them. Sky High Tech AKA Impact Direct has not followed any of the laws that are in place for the State of Texas by the IRS. They want you to be contractors so they dont have to supply benefits or insurance but there are certain things that they require that would make the contarctors employees instead. If you are an independent contractor you are NOT required to sign any contract that prohibits a contractor from working with any other competitors or wear any form of uniform. Also as an independent contractor you are your own boss and work what jobs and hours that fight you. This company does not follow any of the laws. Then they take out retainers, which they dip into for any reason they can find. Also, illegal. They want you to buy any and all equipment from them or their source simply because they charge the techs an average of $10-$15 dollars more than what the actual price of equipment is. There are many more suspicious activities in which this company partakes in. If you are going to get Direct TV installed I would simply request that an in house tech do the installation. The sub contractors being used through Sky High are simply being screwed and the managers of the company are not interested in making sure things are done by code or if the techs are trained right, they just wait for their check to hit their hand. Apparently these things have been going on for years and when a tech figures things out the company wants a signed confidential contract so none of their dirty secrects about their dirty business activites to be made public. It's time for some light to be shed on this company because if they have no problem treating the techs that make their business run like this, imagine what kind of work they are allowed to be done on your house!!!
