EventPro Strategies has been breaking Labor Laws in the states of California and New York. As a part-time employee with them (you can NOT work as an Independent Contractor), EPS is suppose to pay their part-time employees on the same pay schedule as their full-time employees. BUT they choose to pay you as a part-time employee for their company 30-60 days later which is standard for many event marketing companies out there who hire you as an Independent Contractor but it is illegal and wrong for them to follow those rules. California and New York labor laws state that you HAVE to be paid on the regular pay schedule otherwise a company can be fined and cited for breaking these labor laws. You make them money so why should they treat you with such disrespect? Stand up for yourself and fight them! You deserve to be paid on a regular basis. Other much larger event marketing companies out there don't break the labor laws so why should EPS? And don't let them tell you you have to wait 30-60 days to get paid! They just don't want to pull money out of their money markets and savings accounts to pay you! Why should you have to be late paying any of your bills why they make money on your money? Fight them. Go to your Labor Commissioner and find out what you can do. You are making THEM money and all you deserve is to be treated fairly and paid fairly! Good luck in your fight!
