House Escapes He has not returned my security deposit

I "rented" a house in Gibsonton Florida from Diamond Enterprises/keith Schwabinger. He was not the owner of this home - it was in foreclosure, he changed the locks and put a For Rent sign up. I lived in the home for a very short period of time due to the lies and manipulation. I have been chasing Mr. Schwabinger and his attorney, Joe Perlman ever since I moved out in April. He keeps telling me that someone else has the money and I should go after them, although that person has given me proof that my money was deposited into Mr. Schwabinger's bank account. I tried to make a complaint to the Better Business Bureau, but he got his attorney involved and again they wrote me off. I just want my money back, as Florida law states, the landlord must put in a claim for all or part of the security deposit within two weeks of me moving out, that never happened and it's been a year. He owes me over $1000
