HP Printer - HP Photosmart C5180

Miscellaneous

HP Photosmart C5180 All-in-One

Requires 6 cartridges to operate.
If one empties or "expires", printer stops operating.
"Expires" — what does that mean? Printer cartridge is not empty, HP has decided that designing this functionality provides an additional revenue source, courtesy of the consumer.

Supplies: When I reordered several printer cartridges. I selected HP Photosmart C5180. It appears that they have decided to offer two versions of the same cartridge. One is now larger than the other — no instruction / warning / consumer info that the "new and improved" redesigned version IS NOW TOO LARGE TO WORK IN THE PRINTER!

Consumer Hassel and Expense Factor:
10 out of 10
Designing printer to not work when one of SIX cartridges empties
Designing printer to not work when one of SIX cartridges "Expires"???
Designing new and improved cartrdiges that won't fit in printer

Two weeks later, my printer is still not working...
