I arranged Direct TV for our home, although i don't watch that much TV. I arranged installation for a weekend i was out of town and my husband would be there to oversee installation. He signed the agreement that would cost us $500 if we got out of Direct TV before the two years was up without realizing i was not aware of that fee. Directv representative NEVER talked with me about a penalty for canceling early, but only gave me the fee's it would be for the first year and second year. I was unaware (being new to directv) of any early cancellation fee from my conversation.
