Theft Between Friends

Victor James and I were Friends and he completely took advantage of my kindness and then turned his back on me. He lost his job about a year ago and he was drawing unemployment. He spent a lot of his money on beer and had ask me to help cover his house payment one month, which I did. Then one day he called me crying saying he had no food in the house, and I went to the store and bought him $100.00 of groceries. Then, one time he needed a prescription from the doctor and asked me to cover it, and like an idiot I did.
The time I lent him money for his house note he said that if I gave him the money ($300.00) right then, when his unemployment check came in, my $300.00 would come right off the top of his unemployment check. Well, when his check came in, he wouldn't give me the money because he needed for things that he needed, so my car payment was late that month.
Now he won't even talk to me, I'm not good enough for him to talk too and has made it quite clear by not talking to me that he has no plans to pay me back, so I have completely lost $500.00 and I've had take an early medical retirement because of Heart Disease, bypass surgery and Congestive Heart Failure. I need the money and I doesn't matter to him. I thought he was an honorable man but this has all changed my respect for him. He's a thief and hides it very well. This still doesn't make it right and he doesn't deserve "everything coming up roses for him"
