When a tree landed on my Verizon lines during a snowstorm, cutting off all Verizon cable, Internet and phone service, the technician the company sent claimed that he was unable to repair the lines because they were mixed in with electrical lines. The electric company rep. Reported that this was not true, they were all Verizon lines. When I called Verizon again, they scheduled a technician to come out, but he never showed up. When I called again, it turned out that no technican visit had even been scheduled. I have now been without service now for two weeks, and am now being told that a technician cannot come to my house for another five days. This is incompetence on a gross scale. Slow service due to weather conditions is excusable. What happened with the first technician and failing to schedule the second appointment when I was told it was done is not excusable by any stretch of the imagination.
