Auction Agency
Foreclosure agency, secondmeta, national repo network, budget direct deceptive (criminal) sales pitch, knowledgeable ex employee

Miscellaneous

As an ex-employee I have direct knowledge of the deceptive methods used by Auction Agency to ensnare people into a credit card trap. Their sales pitch is designed to be very deceptive and the "victim" is assured that "all you have to do is just cancel before the end of your seven day trial & there will no further obligations on your part." However, when the victim attempts to call the 800 # to cancel, the company makes it very difficult to get through and IF you do get through you will be put on hold or even hung up on.
The employees in "member services" are compensated for retaining victims thus hitting their credit card for another month at a rate of anywhere from 40 to 120 per month.
The pitch they use is: "... And if you choose to continue after your "free" 7 day trial the service is $39.95 for only one month." This is one of the deceptions:..."for only one month".in reality the charge is $39.95 PER month. The victim is also "rolled over" into a package to help them with financing. It too is $39.95 every month. Then they will also try to "roll you over" into another package for $39.95.
The reality is this: The "come on" is $1.95 "activation" fee. But, they also add on $8 S&H for 2 packages and $1.95 for the third. So, the total INITIAL charge to the credit card is $21.85. Then, if you do not cancel within the 7 day "free" trial you are hit with a charge of $39.95 times 3 for a total charge of $119.85 PER MONTH.
