Stating I owe past due balance from 2002

I had hit hard times and had been having problems paying my Time warner bill due to being laid off. I contacted Time warner after having service shut off to make an arrangement to pay some of the bill and the rest within the following weeks. I was told by a customer service rep that I needed to pay balance in full and that I owed a previous balance of 105.99 on an account from 2002. I spoke with a supervisor as to please send me a bill stating where and when this bill is from as I have had Time Warner cable this whole time and I have never heard of having a past due balance from another account. I was just sent the most generic letter yesterday 3/1 that has no date of when this bill is from just stating I owe 105.99 and they are merging both accounts together. This letter was written 2/5 and post marked 2/24. I paid the 105.99 not knowing anything about me owing this bill untill Febuary of this year.
