Bounce Around Brevard Showed up 1 1/2 hours late for my daughter's birthday party!

This past weekend (February 28th) was my daughter's 6th birthday party. The party was held at a local park with a nice play ground and we contracted a local company, Bounce Around of Brevard, for an inflatable bounce house. When I spoke with the owner (a neighbor of ours who I never met before) via Phone and subsequent email correspondence, I specifically told them that my husband and I would be at the park at 12:15 to set up for the party (which officially started at 1:00 pm) and that I needed them (Bounce Around of Brevard) to be there at 12:30 to set up the bounce house, reasoning that it would be ready to go in case kids arrived a bit early. He did not arrive at 12:30. We later find out, he came by the park at noon, found that we weren't there so he left his card and headed off somewhere. Since we didn't arrive to set up until 12:15, we had no idea he had already came and left. When 12:30 rolled around and he had not yet arrived, we began calling and got no answer at the number provided. When 12:45 rolled around and he was not there yet (and guests were already arriving), WE had to track him down, by my husband driving over to his house to try and locate him. Even his wife didn't know where he was. The party officially started at 1:00 and he did not arrive and have the bounce house set up until 1:45, a full 45 minutes until after the party had started, an hour and 30 minutes after we had contracted him to be there. Additionally, the bounce house he showed up with was not the once we specifically requested per our conversation and emails and was soaking wet on the inside, as it had been used the day before at a rainy event and was not dried off.

I let him (the owner) know the party was over at 3:00 and we would call him to come and take down the bounce house when we were finished. We called him at 3:10, got no answer, left a message and waited for another 1/2 hour then called him again. He said he was waiting for our call and said we called the wrong number (we called the one his wife provided). When he arrived, I spoke with him and voiced my dissatisfaction with the manner in which things were handled and he continued to give excuse after ecuse as to why he was late. When I asked for a partial refund, he offered me 50% off my next bounce house, which I delined seeing that I would never do business with them again, and clearly gave him my reasons why a reasonable partial refund was in order. He said he would talk to his wife and when I got home from the party, I just wrote her a very polite, but terse email to her explaining what happened and my immense dissatisfaction. I recived no answer.

I called back to speak with the owner and he once again gave me the run around, trying to make it my fault for not being there when he initially showed up, even though I clearly told them when we would be arriving. It was not up to him to decide when HE wanted to show up, it was his job to arrive when contracted to be there. It was his job to provide the proper bounce house, not give me excuses that he couldn't access the one I ordered because it was locked in someone's back yard. It was his poor planning, yet he keeps my money and my daughter's birthday party was effected by his very unprofessional and lacksidasical attitude.instead of apologies, all I received were excuses.

I followed up today via email and phone and have yet to hear from them. I have come to find out that they have a track record of not showing up. I met another mother online who contracted them for her daughter's birthday party and they just never even showed up nor returned her calls.

They are a definite Rip-Off!
