Ripoff

Over 3 months ago I got a call saying I have the opportunity to receive an unsecured credit card with a $5000 limit. My credit is not that good so I was excited to receive a limit that high. I thought there would be a catch and there was a $239.00 check. I didn't think this would be too bad for $5000 credit plus they told me that most people just get the cash back from the card once received.

In the background you could hear all kinds of telephones ringing and other people being told the same deal. They said for one part the phone call would have to be recorded and you agreed to the payment terms. They also gave me a reference number as to if I had any problems. They said the card could take as long as 3 weeks once payment was received.

This had all slipped my mind until I was looking over my bank statements and realized it had been some time since payment was withdrawn from my account. I called the number I was given and at first ended up with a recording saying they would be back after a certain date, but it was already past that date.

Not to long after that all you receive is a busy signal and to this date is still the same. I'm really not gullable and ignorant because these people sounded very professional, especially haering all the other phone calls. There must be thousands of people who are out $240 but clear choice raked in hundreds of thousands. These people need to be caught. They are very good rip-off artists who have laughed all the way to the bank. Let's get these bastards!
