It started when I posted on Craigs List, DayCare out of my house. Within hours I got a hit from Said Dr. Jeffery SMITH (name used this time vice Bill) wanting to set-up babysitting for twin 2 year old girls. He had recently lost his wife and was coming to our area for a seminar with the girls and would need daycare for them for 6 weeks begining 19 February til 2 April.

We exchanged e-mail correspondence approximately 6 times. I gave him my home address and telephone number and asked him to contact me so we could get things set up. I also asked for his telephone number, address and what kind of seminar he would be attending, where it would take place and where he was staying after picking up the girls. He sent no telephone, nothing concerning the seminar, nothing stating where he would be staying after picking up the girls. Raised a FLAG!

He also said he would be buying/sending toys to my house for the girls to play with along with advanced money with a tracking number on check or whatever means he was paying by.

At this point I was very skeptical and I googled the address he gave me and thats when I saw the scam/rip-off scheme that he was running. I read the other files reported by other people and it was exactly the same! Incredible.

Nothing has come in the mail yet but now that I'm aware I will take the necessary steps to help to hopefully find and prosecute this one rip-off scam
