Loran Swensen told me my $35,000 would buy a container of tankless water heaters in China and would be sold in the United States for a profit. I had known others who had made money importing, so I didn't question much (and had known Loran several years but only casually I guess) because come to find out he has taken upwards of million dollars from a combination of old retired people to investors and (single moms like me) to "help" them make money, make a profit, generate passive income, etc. - only to basically take their money and lie to them for years about getting it back. He has quite a few lawyers after him. He seems to prey on older, naive, etc people
