Kahala Pet Hospital
The Veterinary Center of the Pacific I have completed an extensive remodeling of the Pet Hospital in 2006 and have not been paid final pay in th amount of $35,722.86 plus applicable interest & legal fees

I was hired by Dr. Leadbeater to remodel his Kahala Pet Hospital April. Primary contract work was to demolition and depose of a CMU (concrete masonry wall) for the purpose of enlarging his animal surgery room.
Also, contract work included furnishing and installation of new cabinets in the surgery preparation room, cutting opening in CMU walls and installing new doors & frames into those opening. During the course of completing contract work, Dr. Leadbeater requested additional work to be completed as the job progressed. Upon completion of all the contract work and requested additional work, I presented him with the final bill and he has refused to pay me stating my work was not acceptable and work not completed in a timely manner.
Original contract amount is $78,832.00 and the additional requested extra work amount is $43,188.86 for a total amount of $122,020.86. Due to the addition of extra work and deletion of some contract work, the total revised/final contract amount is $100,860.86.
To date, I have been paid $65,138.00 leaving a balance due of $35,722.86 plus applicable interest and leagal fees.
During the course of construction, at NO TIME did Dr. Leadbeater inform me of any problems or unacceptable work, either verbally and/or in writing. Only upon presentation of the final invoice do he indicate his dis-satification.
