An Affair to Remember Bridal
Took my money and closed their doors

Back in September I went shopping for my wedding dress. We stumbled across a small bridal shop called An Affair to Remember, located in Scottsdale. Well, needless to say, I definitely will remember them for the rest of my life!
I found my perfect dress and decided to purchase it that day. According to the store owner, Katie, I had to pay for the dress in full. I was then told that the dress would be shipped to the shop by the end of January. Well, I left it at that and figured I would hear from the store once it arrived. But, I did not.
I then called the bridal shop to confirm the date of arrival for my wedding dress. To my surprise the phone was disconnected. So, I decided to drive over to the bridal shop. When I arrived, I saw a 'for rent' sign posted in the window and found the store to be empty! At that point, I went to the neighboring store and was told that the shop had gone out of business about one month prior.
I remembered that back in September Katie, the owner, had informed us that her mother had an alteration shop next door. I was eager to find out that the mother still owned her shop next to the now closed bridal store. I went there and talked with 'the mother', who basically acted as though she had no idea of what was going on.
Since I was unable to get any information from the mother, I contacted the manufacturer of the dress who was able to confirm that it had been ordered and made. But, could not be delivered since the dress was not paid for. So, where is the money that I paid in September? Now, I was told that the only way to receive my "already purchased" dress, is to pay for it again!
