They lie about the fair pay scale

Hi there! To everyone that is looking for a driving career. I know, as you may already know that driving over the road is not as easy as others may think it is, coz, we have to deal with so many things for example: the company we work with, dispatch, the customers we p/up and del to, road conditions, highway patrols, and sometimes, other truck drivers, as well.
Anyway, to get to my point, I am also like many other drivers who wants to make a career, and of course, to say the least, make money for living, to pay for the bread and butter. I drive for this company for 3 1/2 years and is the best so far of all the trucking co I worked for, then, they have reduced loads, and thats what made me to think of moving to another co.
And so, Marten Trans got my attention to go with them, and they made me to quit my job on the day of orientation that was so good, lots of information, you will be bombarded of so many detailed information about the rules, do's and don'ts. I'm not saying, i don't know, or can't drive this rig safely. I never had accident my whole driving career (only 1 speeding ticket of 5 mph).
Marten will promise you of pay scale fair program that they will not do. You will find yourself waiting for so long on the customers dock for p/ups and del and not get paid for those times. They will not fight for you becoz they might loose that customer. And if you read the article on truck driver magazines about Marten being one of the top fortune 500 forbes report it says "... Even if the economy is down, Marten shows growth and they even open up new terminals" I believed that at first, but, when I work at Marten, I now know why that report may be so true that Marten goes up even if the economy is down is becoz of the drivers expense.
Drivers... (esp the new ones hired). I will be honest with you, do not expext the best, of Marten. You will find yourself in an old truck, that is running, you will find yourself spending more time waiting than driving, and don't get paid for waiting time, becoz the 2 hours free and get paid after is not being enforced by Marten to its clients. And you will find yourself being charged. 03 cents for getting into per diem, of which you will be a looser by the end of the year for paying more taxes.
I drive over the road for a long time, and I let Marten know that b4 they hired me, but, they treated me like I just came out of driving school. They disp me out of the term for 20 miles, wait 12 hours for del, I got paid 0.33 x 20 = $6.60, don't you wanna call this a rip-off? No wonder why Marten is up even if the economy is down, and they can afford to open up new terminals becoz of the drivers expense. I delivered quarter of a million dollar worth of goodies, spent 12 hours, and I got paid $6.60. And this does not happen once, but, twice, the 3rd time... Guess what? I quit.
And so, to all of you: my fellow drivers, I know you work hard, and if you are expecting to drive for Marten Transport, I would say, do not expect the best.
