Kroger Co
By labelling food "Value", and charging more, they trap the innocent

Kroger markets a line labelled "Value", with simple labels, and almost always alongside "Kroger" brand products, BUT some are in fact more expensive. Generally "Value" is much cheaper, so "buyer beware"
Their explanation is it cost them more! I believe a naive buyer will not read the fine print, telling you cost per ounce and buy it, thinking it was of value. The mayo jars are next to one another, Kroger and Value, same size, different prices; Value mayo has actually increased in price recently.
Kroger is charitable in the employment of the 'handicapped', so this comes as a big surprise. Even the manager was shocked when I pointed out the discrepancy.
