Tried to strong arm me with threats!

I received a call from an asian indian speaking woman that old me I was being sued on 3 counts of fraud regarding non payment of a loan I took out with an Internet Payday Loan Company. She said she needed my attorney's name and said I would be given a date to appear in court once she submitted my attorney's name. I asked her for more information and she said I should have received notices via my email on this, I asked if she was able to send me anything now to confirm this and she said just a minute, put me on hold and then another foreign speaking man came on the line, giving me a hard time with threats saying I walked away from paying this debt and was very rude. It was difficult to understand his foreign tongue and I asked to speak with the attorney on the case. This is when a man claiming to be David Walker came on the line, same foreign language and wanted me to pay $996.00. When I refused he said I asked for a telephone number that I could call back and he told me they don't have a number I can call, I said I want to see what money I can up up with so he gave me 626-609-0299 to call back. I called that number 2 days later, the man that answered sounded like the same man I spoke with but said he wasn't David Walker, no company name give so it sounded like a personal cell phone rather than a business. Again they were rude and threatened me and said they were turning me in for not agreeing to pay, I asked them to forward me documents via email or fax so I know this is an honest issue and he said no he can't do it and I just better be careful because he was turning this into the courts. I have no idea who these people are but I am so sick of these worthless foreigner trying to scam us hard working americans! If you receive these calls contact your local police department and don't give the caller any personal information!
