Ripoff dealership preys on people with challenged credit, practices predatatory lending

I experienced the same as other customers from Stone Mountain Cheverolet. My fiancee and I went to purchase a car. I was put in a 2001 Toyota Corolla. I drove off of the lot with the car and two weeks later, I get a phone call for me to come back to the dealership.

Chris Jackson tells me that he needs me to fill out some paperwork. When I get there, he tells me that the finance company needs more money. When I challenge him on this, he gets caught in his lies. I told him I would go home and get the money and I didnt come back. He called me two days later and I began to quote him the terms of the contract which of course, he said was null and void. I then told him he could come and get the car.

So, I see that this practice goes on everyday. When I did return the car, I was talked to by the new car salesman and I purchased a car from the new side. Their practices are also shady and very illegal. I traded my truck in to get a 2003 Cavalier which was doubled in price. I was charged $18,000 for the Cavalier at a very high interest rate. And my contract was also doctored. When I asked about it, I was given some lame excuse about how it worked for the finance company. I took the deal because at the time I needed the car, or so I thought. Now everyday I wish I hadn't done business with Stone Mountain Cheverolet.

It is shameful that this business is in the heart of a Black community, operated by Blacks, and preys on Blacks at the same time. What happened to Am I not my brother's keeper?
