Stone Mountain Chevrolet
Is a ripoff. Breach of contract, illegal possesion w/o financing, & illegal business practices

I bought two cars from Stone Mountain Chevrolet, gave them a post dated check for the down payment, they made me sign a form where in 30 days they would cash the down payment. Also gave them 500$ in cash.

5 days later recieved a call @8:00 am saying that they needed me to come in because they could get me a better deal on the cars rather than the one I had signed. After work about 4:30 went to the dealership and they told me that they needed 9,000 for both cars today or I needed to return the vehicles. Return the cars and asked for my postdated checks back as well as my cash.

Well they did not have any of them because the office closed at 5:00 mind you I waited for 30 minutes before any of them even talked to me. They also proceed to tell me that the 3 day legal law for contracts does not apply to me and that this happens all the time. They said for me to return the next morning for my check of the $500 in cash. They said that they would mail the postdated checks to me. Then I found out from my salesman that that day they had 10 consumers come in and had to do the same thing. They said it happens everyday.

3 weeks later, I go to my bank, I have a negative balance. Stone Mountain chevrolet has cashed my postdated check for a car I do not even have. When I confronted them they told me to have their lawyer contact them, because their was nothing I could do, because it was a mistake on their part and they needed proof in which I showed them and to come back the next day and they would straightened the check situation out.

This error has caused a significant financial crisis in my life and not to mention the embarrasament and headaches I had over the fact that I had a bounce check.in which I am trying so hard to reestablish myself in this world of credit we live in. I am totally distraught and want help with this situation now.
