A dead rat in my chicken

My daughter wanted me to make her chicken soup. I went to the store h.E. B that day and bought a chicken. When i got home i put it in the pot with my brouth. After i let it cook for awhile i notice a bad smell. I begin to cut the chicken and a dead rat was in the chicken. I called the health dept and told them and they came out and took the pictures. It was awful. I have pictures as well. I had ate some brough and a couple bites of it as well. I have had stomach cramps and have been ill. I found out today another woman bought a can of beans and a rat was in her can. She obtained a lawyer. This is awful. I thank god my granddaughter and daughter did not eat this and it was found or i may not be writing this today. What is going on with this picture
